 In America, the strength of the middle class has been the foundation of wealth in the country— where hard work leads to a pool of opportunities and successes to build lasting roots, like owning a home. Much is possible because of access to financing, standards, and mindset rooted in personal responsibility of ownership. In Peru, the economic divide is far more pronounced, with most people either rich or poor. The poor often rent homes from the wealthy or spend years saving to buy modest properties. Many Peruvians admire the American way of life and dream of moving here, but for most, that dream remains out of reach.

At Peru Hope, we're working to bring the values and opportunities of the American middle class to Peru. We build American-style homes complete with trusses, shingles, fenced yards, grass, backyards, and parking pads—offering dignity and comfort at an affordable rent. Tenants agree to maintain their homes, follow community covenants, and take pride in their surroundings. They pay rent for 10 years—an amount that only totals about half the actual cost of the home—and at the end of that period, Peru Hope donates the home to them.

Through this model, we aim not just to build houses, but to inspire a shift in mindset—one that empowers Peruvians to elevate their lifestyle, embrace personal responsibility, and step into a brighter, more sustainable future.
