Volunteering abroad with the Gregersen Foundation is a chance to make a real difference. When you step into a new country to serve, you help families in need and gain a new perspective on life. We are firm believers that helping others is a tremendous benefit for those receiving help, and those providing help.

Building Homes in Peru

Through our Peru Hope program, volunteers help build safe and simple homes for families who need them most. These houses give families security, stability, and hope for the future. This initiative was born after strong storms destroyed multiple homes leaving families without a roof over their heads. While people have many needs and the Peru Hope initiative does more than just build homes, we know a house is a very essential need for every family in the world, and we will help the families in this corner of the world with that very essential need.

Medical Missions & Community Outreach

The Foundation also runs medical missions for volunteers that are trained, such as doctors, dentists, and nurses, who provide essential care to families that would not otherwise have access. These teams bring checkups, treatments, and supplies that improve quality of life in lasting ways.

For all volunteers, there are also community events, from activities to local gatherings, that strengthen relationships and bring people together. These moments show that service is not only about building structures, but also about building connections.

What You’ll Do

As a volunteer, you may:

  • Help build homes from the ground up.
  • Take part in community events and support local families.
  • Learn about the culture, food, and traditions of Peru.
  • Build lasting friendships with fellow volunteers.

* If you are a trained medical professional or a student within the medical field, you may also join one of our medical missions to use your skills in direct service.

Why It’s Important

Many families around the world live without safe housing or access to healthcare. By volunteering abroad, you help meet those needs directly. A safe home, good health, and community support are the foundation of a better future.

Be Part of It

The Gregersen Foundation welcomes anyone ready to serve. You don’t need special skills for building or community work, just a willing heart and the desire to help. Medical missions are reserved for those that have had the training, but all volunteers leave with memories and experiences that last a lifetime.
