The Gregersen Foundation exists to help people where help is needed. Peru Hope is one of the ways we do that by supporting families in rural Peru who are working hard to create a better life, but lack basic opportunities.
We build homes, deliver essentials, and support local efforts to improve living conditions. It’s not complicated. People need help, so we show up.
Peru Hope works in one of the most underserved regions of Peru, where many families live in unsafe or unstable housing. Our focus is building solid, affordable homes they can eventually own. These homes aren’t given away, families rent them for ten years at half the cost of construction. During that time, they agree to basic upkeep like maintaining the yard, taking out the trash, and keeping the home in good condition. After the ten years, the home is fully theirs. You see? This system provides families with a good-quality home while helping them adjust to living at a higher standard.
This approach keeps things fair, respectful, and sustainable. We also help with other basics, such as food, clothing, school supplies, and training. Anything that helps people move forward.
We organize 7 day volunteer trips for anyone willing to lend a hand. You don’t need special skills, just a good attitude and a desire to serve.

We don’t claim to fix everything. But when we see people in need, and we have the means to help, we act. That’s what Peru Hope is about.
If you're looking for a real way to do some good, this is it.
